the sanders family: 8 months

This summer seems to be flying by! I can't believe it's already July. I guess it could be because Hudson is keeping me on my toes. I am sure I have said this before but I can't seem to keep up with the multiple milestones that occur each month! We are cutting our fourth tooth! and for some reason this one has been a bear. :( I think it could be because he is also learning to throw little temper tantrums when he is told "No" and yells loud when he wants you to do something or give him something. Of course, he starts pushing limits when Daddy is in Africa for two weeks....needless-to-say, I am spent! Mommy has already had to pop his little hand because he stubbornly reaches for the light sockets or electrical cords on multiple occasions, after repeatedly being told "no" and even moving him from the situation (yes, we have baby proofed the house, but I refuse to wrap the child's world in bubble wrap!......though we haven't ruled out wrapping him in it :)

We are at my parents for the Fourth of July weekend, passing the time while Kevin is away. He comes home Tuesday!!! Wahoo! I am so glad he was able to go on this trip, however I am very ready for him to be home. We both are. Hudson looks around for Kevin every once in awhile and says "da-da" with a pout on his face. The other day I showed him a picture of Kevin and he leaned in to kiss it! (that was the sweetest thing) I know you are probably thinking I am making this up because I am his mom, but I promise its true....my son's character cracks me up on a daily basis, its pretty amazing what they learn to do in such a short amount of time.
